Kid-Friendly NH Hikes
Updated: Feb 1, 2022

A view from West Rattlesnake in Holderness
Yesterday, we woke-up with no plans and a desire to go adventuring. We had already done our go-to summer hikes and were looking for something new. So I did what many people do – I asked Facebook. Here’s what my friends shared. If you’re looking for a kid-friendly fall hike, check this list!
Pack Monadnock or North Pack Monadnock (Peterborough)
Welch-Dickey Loop Trail (Thornton/Waterville Valley)

A friend we met during our visit to Pawtuckaway State Park (Nottingham)
Red Hill (Moultonborough) (This is one can be a little steep, so better for older kids.)
Artists Bluff and Bald Mountain (Franconia Notch)
Chamberlain-Reynolds Memorial Forest (Holderness)
For trails in Concord, you can visit Hannah’s post about zero-waste activities with kids. You can also go to a new-to-me site called All Trails . Feel free to share this list with friends (aren’t most of us looking for somewhere new to explore?) and happy hiking! – Rachel
